Recipes

Most of my recipes are fast and feature local ingredients. You’ll also find nearly all the recipes from Simply in Season.

On Sundays I normally participate in the Sunday Supper blogging event where a number of bloggers post recipes on a specific theme. It’s a lot of fun and a great way to find new recipes.

It's not one of the four essential sauces, but this past weekend I went to a cooking demo at The Homestead Resort in Glen Arbor, MI. There, I learned how to make Bolognese (meat sauce) from an actual Italian chef!

Cole Slaw

January 4, 2012 by Wendy Hammond

We continue the salad theme this week with cole slaw! Even though I often associate cole slaw with summer picnics, it uses ingredients that are available in the winter.
