Recipes

Most of my recipes are fast and feature local ingredients. You’ll also find nearly all the recipes from Simply in Season.

On Sundays I normally participate in the Sunday Supper blogging event where a number of bloggers post recipes on a specific theme. It’s a lot of fun and a great way to find new recipes.

Asparagus Soup

June 13, 2010 by Wendy Hammond

I have to admit I was getting a little panicky when I saw a sign that said this is the last week for asparagus season. I had one more recipe left in Simply in Season where asparagus was an absolute necessity. This is it. I decided to try a farm stand near me instead of …

I made it for Sunday dinner at my parents, and brought along some powdered sugar just in case it needed frosting after all.

Sesame Garlic Glaze for Meat and Greens

June 9, 2010 by Wendy Hammond

This is a recipe from From Asparagus to Zucchini that I found last year when I was searching for a bok choy recipe. This has become one of our favorites.

Strawberry Brunch Souffle

Strawberry Brunch Souffle

June 8, 2010 by Wendy Hammond

This took about a quart of strawberries, so between this and the strawberry salad, plus several that I used for quality control (you MUST taste your produce to make sure it's good, after all) I used up the two quarts from the Farmer's Market. Now I need to find some more!
