About the same time I was gearing up to start my Simple Living Challenge, I came across a delightful blog called Lisa's Foods on the Move. Better yet, she recently published an e-book called Seasonal Simplicity (Click here to view more details; affiliate link).

Alpine Weight Loss Secrets by Stefan Aschan is a fun, easy to read book about weight loss and healthy living.

As a blogger who’s not a “mommy blogger,” I’ve often felt left out. I have nothing to add to breastfeeding and diaper discussions. I wonder if I’m welcome to participate in conferences like “Type-A Mom” or “Mom Media Summit.” Not to mention Mom Spark Media, AT&T Moms, etc. Yet it’s not only online that I feel outcast as a childfree woman. When I read Complete without Kids, I thought “finally, someone understands!”

The first thing I learned from this book is that Denise Austin is 50 years "young." Wow! She has been around awhile, so my expectations weren't very high for this book. I was pleasantly surprised.

I can't believe I forgot to review the Clinton St. Baking Company Cookbook: Breakfast, Brunch & Beyond from New York's Favorite Neighborhood Restaurant when I made the po'boy sandwiches from it a few weeks ago. Duh! I had received a review copy from the publisher and they kindly offered an additional giveaway copy for one of my readers.
