Backyard Makeover with Kmart
I was so excited when Collective Bias asked me to do a backyard makeover with Kmart. See, my deck is in pretty bad shape.
Garden Update 5/9/11
Over the past week, the little sprouts have really taken off! It's fun to watch the little green shoots start to turn into something recognizable.
Spring Planting
Another $100 for lumber later, we now have 4 more beds. The photo above is of last year's, which I cleaned up on Saturday and planted with peas, carrots, lettuce, kale, and the Asian stir fry mix. Those little seeds are buggers! Hoping I can thin them out later.
Fuzzy Math Monday
I've always hated math. It's not that I was bad at it, it's just that I prefer words over numbers. However, after reading the Frugalista Files the other day, on top of trying to run the numbers for our brewery business plan, I've decided it's time to start paying attention.
CSA & Garden Update 8/10
I’ve decided that my garden is mostly for snacking. To recap: The herbs have dried up, from lack of watering, never having quite recovered from the long 4th of July weekend in intense heat with no water.
