DailyLook Elite Box Review

You are here: Home / Mind / Fashion / DailyLook Elite Box Review
June 15, 2015 by Wendy Hammond

I  decided to participate in the Stop the Summer Slump challenge this week to get back into my writing grove.  Today’s challenge was to write about something or of my comfort zone. Well, showing photos of myself is our of my comfort zone, although I’m getting better at it now that I’m involved with a few clothing groups. So today I’m going to share what I received in last week’s Elite Box. The monthly box is one of those deals where a stylist chooses items for you based on a style profile. Here’s what I got,  what I kept, and what I returned.

First up, this really boring tote. It’s a no. Not sure how it’s going to fit in the return bag. .. $65 fyi

Next: knit skirt, soft and I like the concept but a bit too tight and short. $60? Nope.

A line midi. This fits great and feels high quality. I can imagine getting a lot of use out of it. Only bummer is it’s dry clean only. For $65 I kept it.

This is another versatile piece that fits well and it’s hand wash. I’ve been wanting a white blazer so I will keep it. $75

Two pieces here: white shirt, which I like and could use a great staple so I’m keeping it for $70. Pants are striped navy, I wanted to like them but it did this weird puckery thing at the thighs so it’s going back. $60

3 letters: WTF? $40? I may DIY something similar because the idea is neat, but the proportions seem off.

Not shown: black zipper detail cigarette pants. $55. Too small 🙁 Their large is like a 6/8 in pants I’m guessing.

I ended up keeping three pieces, so I received 50% off one item. The rest I returned in the postage paid box. I gave detailed feedback on all of the pieces, so next month the stylist will have a better idea of sizing and what to send.

Overall I’m really happy with this box. It provided quality basics, and even though I’m still losing weight it was nice to add some higher quality pieces to my wardrobe.

Normally they charge $20 a month for the style box service, although with this referral link you can get a free two month trial.
