Menu, Workout Plan, and Homekeeping Monday

You are here: Home / homekeeping / Menu, Workout Plan, and Homekeeping Monday

I am LOVING having my menus and schedule planned out ahead of time. Even though I might not always follow them perfectly, it goes a long way towards getting things accomplished.

I am LOVING having my menus and schedule planned out ahead of time. Even though I might not always follow them perfectly, it goes a long way towards getting things accomplished. On Friday I was at a retreat for work and I came to realize that I was at my most organized back when I was in school. I had many subjects, and a notebook for each. I also used a paper planner. So while it might seem old fashioned, I think I’m going back to a paper planner. There’s something about blocking off times that seems to work, and doesn’t have the same effect online.

Menu Plan

Breakfasts: Scrambled eggs or protein shakes

Snacks: Oranges, grapefruit, Skinny Cows

Lunches: Leftovers or Lean Cuisine

Dinners: (Check back later for recipes)

Monday – Creamy Hungarian Mushroom Soup

Tuesday – Sweet Potato, Red Onion and Fontina Tart

Wednesday – Inside-Out Lasagna

Thursday – Greek Chicken and Vegetable Ragout

Weekend – we’ll see

Workout Plan

Last week, after playing with my BodyMedia band, I realized that I really do burn the most calories on the treadmill. That, combined with the fact that I somehow agreed to run a sprint distance triathlon with a friend of mine, means that I’m going to start couch to 5K a little earlier than I had anticipated. I know it’s important to strength train, however, so I’ll be throwing in some Flexible Warrior DVDs too.

Monday – Couch to 5K

Tuesday – rest

Wednesday – Couch to 5K

Thursday – Flexible Warrior

Friday – Couch to 5K

Saturday -Couch to 5K

Sunday – Flexible Warrior

Homekeeping Plan

Remember what I said about being organized in school? I decided that instead of trying to keep everything in a single binder, I’m going to make a 3 ring binder for each subject that I need to keep track of for my home. I’ll start with sewing since that’s what I’ve really been in the mood to do these past couple of days.

Monday – Blog calendar

Tuesday – Pick up milk

Wednesday – Sewing workbook; organize stash

Thursday – Work on sewing notebook

Friday – Date night

Saturday – menu planning

Sunday – rest
