Uganda, Days 11-14: Queen Elizabeth Park & Returning Home

You are here: Home / Other / travel / Uganda, Days 11-14: Queen Elizabeth Park & Returning Home
August 22, 2011 by Wendy Hammond

I mentioned before that this was one of the few trips I’ve taken for work where I was able to see touristy things. Our final few days were spent driving to another part of the country to visit Queen Elizabeth Game Park. The community development worker from Kabale and his wife accompanied us. It was a welcome relief after all we had seen on our trip.

It’s impossible to explain how cool it was to see all the animals that are protected in the park. Water bucks, elephants, hippos, even a leopard and a lion. Below are some of my favorite photos.

So there you have it, an account of my trip to Uganda. It’s taken me a little while to get back into the swing of things back at home. But, it was a good experience.
