It's hard to describe the foraging class experience with Lisa Rose Starner. When I first wanted to learn how to forage, I had an image in my head of going out to the forest, picking some mushrooms, and coming home. Kitchen Tip: Stir fry is faster than the drive thru!

One of the tips I picked up when I joined my CSA is to have bottled Asian sauces on hand for quick meals. While it would be ideal to make them from scratch, I have to say that some nights it's nice to just chop up some vegetables and sprinkle some sauce on top.

Buckwheat Banana Pancakes with Strawberry Jam

On holiday weekends I actually have time to make a breakfast other than scrambled eggs. Pancakes are a team effort around our house, because I always burn them. So I usually mix up the batter and then DH cooks them. I chose this recipe because I thought it would highlight the strawberry jam that I made last week.
