Calling Michigan bloggers! Apply to join the Fusion Taste Team

You are here: Home / Reviews & Giveaways / Calling Michigan bloggers! Apply to join the Fusion Taste Team
September 7, 2012 by Wendy Hammond

Are you a Michigan blogger who loves Asian flavors? I’m putting together a team for the World Foods Fusion Taste Team USA.

While I love the idea of making everything from scratch, I have to confess that I’ve been using their jarred sauces this summer because 1) they taste great and 2) it’s at least better than takeout!

So when they invited me to be the team leader for Michigan I couldn’t resist.

What’s in it for you?

If selected to join my team, you’ll receive 8 products to review before November. You and your blog will also be promoted through Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, the Brand website Worldfoods.com.my, Social recipe community WorldPlatter.com, and a Feature in an exclusive WORLDFOODS Fusion Taste Team USA e-cookbook.

We’ll be competing against other state teams and will be judged on who has created the most content and received the most likes, shares and re-pins across Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest by the end of the programme will be crowned our winners.

If When team Michigan wins we’ll get:

  • The winning Champion Blogger will receive an exclusive on-pack promotion on our sauces across the USA with a distribution upwards of 50,000.
  • As a group the team will win an exclusive Asian dining experience cooked by a chef, a table set from Thailand, a prominent feature in the Fusion Taste Team USA exclusive e-cookbook, a Lemongrass and Ginger cookbook by Leemai Tan (http://amzn.to/O4oYdu), and a week’s “winning team” promotion across the social channels.
How to apply:
  1. Leave a comment on this post with your name, email address, a link to your blog AND a couple of sentences that describe your favorite way to use sauces.
  2. Like the WorldFoods Fusion of Flavours Facebook page.
  3. Follow @fusiontasteteam on Twitter.

Comments must be received on this post no later than Tuesday, September 11, 2012 at 11:59 p.m EST.

I will announce the five bloggers that will join my Michigan Fusion Taste Team on Wednesday, September 12, 2012.

The fine print:

  1. You must have an established blog on which you write about food – either as a primary subject or secondary (e.g. a blog about family life in which recipes feature)
  2. You must have a Facebook account, Twitter account with more than 50 followers, (and ideally a Pinterest account)
  3. Be prepared to cook with and write review blog posts about WORLDFOODS sauces.

Let the games begin!

I am big into marinating my meats because it is an easy way to bring your meat up a notch. Sauces are just an easy way to put semi-homemade dish on the table in a pinch. I like to let people think that I spent all day cooking. 🙂

I like to use sauces to make easy and interesting side dishes. Sometimes when most of my focus goes into making a great main dish, I want something easy to make for the side dish. Jarred sauces are wonderful for this.

We do a lot of straight marinating, but we also like to flavor our meat for pasta dishes and salads.

I use sauces for marinating but would love to come up with creative ways to use them in salads, appetizers & side dishes. I have a pinterest acccount as well. As one part of my grocery savings classes I talk about meal planning, recipes and creative ways to get food on the table fast and tasty. This looks like a perfect fit.

I use sauces to compliment and enhance seemingly bland flavored items. I also use sauces to help moisten items that could be on the dry side (even when properly cooked). A lot of the time I find myself marinating my food with sauce.

I liked the WorldFoods Fusion FB page and followed on Twitter. I do blog about recipes and food often on my blog.
