Yes, I watch Project Runway. Even though my sewing skills are more A line elastic waist skirts than haute couture. I get lots of big ideas (although, as you can imagine, not all of them come to fruition.)

One of my favorite pick me ups is to head to Field’s Fabrics on my lunch hour. It’s a locally owned chain and I get so many great ideas! It’s fun to dream even if I don’t end up getting anything. Yesterday’s goal was to find some ideas for window treatments.

The burlap I found would go great as a cornice board cover for the vertical blinds on our two sliders (they look so sterile).

I also need to do something about the mini blinds that my cats destroyed. It looks pretty sad. Hey, here’s an idea!

I’ll have to measure my windows at home to see if they’ll fit. Ideas for covering them:

love this color scheme, too bad it doesn't go with anything in my house

Unfortunately DH didn’t like any of these fabric options (other than the burlap), so it’s back to the drawing board fabric store. Darn. 🙂
