For several years I’ve promoted America’s Favorite Farmers Market Contest from American Farmland Trust. This year, however, they’ve moved to more of a celebration concept.
Every farmers market that serves family farmers is a winner in our book. That is why we moved away from a contest and towards a celebration of family farmers. Rather than casting votes, enthusiasts will be pledging to shop at the farmers market. Eaters can pledge once a week to shop at as many farmers markets as they support. – American Farmland Trust
