It’s my SITS Day!

One of the great things I discovered about blogging is the incredible community I’ve found with other bloggers. In case you’re wondering what SITS is, it’s a community of bloggers that support each other. Each day a different blog is featured, and today happens to be me!

One of the great things I discovered about blogging is the incredible community I’ve found with other bloggers. In case you’re wondering what SITS is, it’s a community of bloggers that support each other. Each day a different blog is featured, and today happens to be me!

I’m supposed to write a little bit about myself and my blog: Why do I do it? What makes me different? I began this blog as a way to journal my way through the cookbook Simply in Season; as I am finishing up this project, I’ve decided to continue this blog because I want to help people eat locally, in season, and see how easy it is to add more vegetables to their diet.

Plus, I love the community! I love comments from you, other readers, and meeting blogging friends in real life as well as online.

As part of my SITS Day, I’m supposed to choose three posts that give the flavor of my blog. It was really hard to choose just three!

Normally, I post recipes such as Fajitas with Cilantro Spice Paste. Quick, easy, and full of veggies!

Sometimes, though, I explore the reasons behind why I eat locally, such as the post What Is Community, Anyway?

Other times I review books or products that I find helpful or post tips that I’ve come across or learned over the past few years of being part of a CSA (Community Supported Agriculture), such as 10 Great Resources for Saving Money on Real Food.

I definitely don’t pretend to be an expert, and I learn so much from your comments! I’ve discovered that everyone is on their own food journey, and has tips and ideas to share. Thank you so much for stopping by my little corner of the blogosphere.

Note: I received so many wonderful comments, but my host server lost this post and with it, many of the comments.

What a delicious site! Everything looks so yummy! Now I’m hungry. 🙂 Visiting from SITS. So nice to “meet” you. Best wishes,
