How to Make Loose Leaf Tea

20827043934_a842c4b3d9_kLast week I brought my favorite chamomile tea blend to a food swap, and it occurred to me that I take for granted knowing how to make it. But when I first started with herbs, I had to Google instructions. So I thought I’d share how I do it via a Periscope video: (you can follow me @wholistic_woman)

Long story short, I use about 2 Tbsp per cup of water and steep for 15-20 minutes. I’ve tried it with all sorts of teas and although sometimes I need to dilute it a bit, it always turns out great!

Here is the recipe for the chamomile blend:

4 parts chamomile

1 part spearmint

1 part chrysanthemum blossoms

1 part borage

And as a reminder, a “part” is whatever you want it to be! A cup, an ounce, whatever. Tea is pretty forgiving that way.
