I’ve been trying to use up the meat in our freezer to make room for the deer that DH will hopefully get, and when looking through More-With-Less Cookbook (World Community Cookbook) I came across this recipe for sausage-sweet potato bake.
My slow cooker gets a workout this time of year, and since I'm trying to use up last year's ground venison from the freezer before DH gets this year's deer (knock on wood), I was delighted to discover this recipe for slow cooker meatloaf while browsing a cookbook I'd forgotten I even had--Cook Once, Eat Twice Slow Cooker Recipes (Better Homes and Gardens).
Let’s see, this fall I’ve been to Chicago, Seattle, Pittsburgh, upper Michigan, Port Huron, and I’m headed to Boston right after Thanksgiving. Whew! I’m also looking forward to an international trip to Nigeria in January. In the words of Johnny Cash, “Of travel I’ve had my share, man!”
